A Busy Summer

So, yes, it’s been a while. Over the last few months, we have moved 500 miles north to the Florida Panhandle to be nearer to our daughter’s family and three beautiful grandchildren.

There have been a multitude of tasks that have kept us busy - renovations to our new home (May - still going!), hip surgery in June (to fix the hip replacement I had last year), the birth of Emerson May (August), a four-day trip to New Braunfels, TX, (September) to teach a parenting seminar and encouraging the children’s ministry leader there), and a few vacations in between.

In the middle of this busyness, I have been working hard to developing and revising materials for children, leaders, and parents. I have recently shifted my attention more towards supporting, involving, and motivating parents in guiding their children's spiritual growth, instead of delegating this responsibility solely to the church.

1.     I wrote “From Heartbreak to Healing – Finding a Reason to Hope after the Loss of a Child.” It answers the question “Where is my child?” and provides biblical reasons for finding hope and healing again (available on Amazon).

2.     I finished writing seven books (Understanding Life series) for children/preteens to read independently or with their parents (available individually on Amazon or as a set at https://www.equippingfireflies.com/product/sampler).

3.     I wrote six months of devotions for families (Family Devotion Cards) following the same content as the Understanding Life series but in a different format (Fun Conversation Starter, Bible reading, a short Devotional thought, a prayer prompt, a journal prompt, and a Memory verse.

4.     I created 56 “Let’s Have Fun Coupons” with fun family activities for each week of the year.

5.     I designed 48 “Lunchbox Notes” for back-to-school or any time of the year.

And in between I’ve been hard at work revising my website and updating my current resources. It’s been a very busy but productive time.

Thank you for traveling this journey with me.

As a measure of appreciation, I would like to give you a FREE resource – the first set of Family Devotion Cards – “Following God.” Just click on this link and use the PROMO code "FREE."

I want to challenge those of you who are parents or grandparents. Spend the next month working through the 20 devotions with your children.

Let me know when you finish!

Keep on keeping on!

Janine
